Klondike is located just southeast of the Sioux
falls area, off Hiway 11. It is said to be an abandoned town, although there are still a
few people living where the town once stood. There is evidence of a few abandoned
buildings (one of which is pictured above).
The main attraction of a ride to this area is the
area near the Big Sioux River where the South Dakota, and Iowa borders meet. There is a
small water fall, as well as a small trail to hike along. Bring your camera and some good
hiking shoes!
