Motorcycle
from Hot Harley Nights Event
(Click Image to see Full Size Photo)

We took a trip back to Sioux Falls in
July 2006 to see
family and friends. While we were there, we were able to get pictures
during the "Hot Harley Nights" event, an event where motorcycle riders
take part in activities to raise money for the Make Wish Foundation.
When we were living in Sioux Falls, the HHN event was a one-day event,
consisting mainly of local riders. The event has since grown and
now covers two days of activities, and thousands of motorcyclists from
the local area as well as other places in the U.S.
Some things to note:
-
Sioux
Falls got its name because of the falls (see Falls Park below) of
the Sioux River, with runs through Sioux Falls, and empties into
the Missouri River.
-
The
Cathedral can be seen from many locations in town because it sits on
a hill and is one of the highest points in Sioux Falls.
-
Under the
Hot Harley Nights section - the time on the clock tower is ten
minutes until nine - that time is accurate, and that is ten minutes
until nine, at night! Sun stays out late in summer there.
-
Most of
the shots are of buildings and motorcycles - I like shooting
architecture and motorcycles :)
-
The
crumbled building in the Downtown section is located at Falls Park
and was once a flour mill.
